Therapy for NDIS participants (18+)

The NDIS is Australia’s national scheme for people with disability. The NDIS supports people with disability to build skills and capability so they can participate in the community and employment. Neuro-affirming support

Neuro-affirming support works with how a person’s brain functions rather than against it. Instead of trying to make someone look more neurotypical, it adapts the tools, environment and the expectations around them to fit the person.  It treats things like stimming and sensory needs as valid, focuses on autonomy and strengths, and sets intentions alongside the person.

Neuro-affirming psychology usually sits under NDIS Capacity Building.

My work involves supporting adults from various backgrounds when life happens – it gets tough, overwhelming, we feel stuck and not sure what to do with emotional, mental and physical pain. I see therapy as a collaborative journey between client and therapist, and while it can sometimes be confronting, my primary role is to create a  environment for us to address the concerns that have led you to seek support.

I have experience assisting clients navigating challenges related to ADHD, Autism, depression, anxiety, panic, chronic health issues, life transitions, workplace stress, relationship difficulties and postnatal depression and interpersonal challenges, such as confidence, self-worth and fear of failure.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, connecting with nature, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I look forward to working with you.
